LIFT COUCCI SUSPENSION LAUREL, Md., Oct. 8. Major Beard has been successful in having the Laurel stewards lift the suspension on little Sylvio Coucci, the smart apprentice rider under contract to the Greentree Stable. Coucci was set down for the meeting the opening day for having grabbed a saddle cloth. His defense was that he did so to prevent an accident, and, as a matter of fact, it was an offense that had no bearing on-the result of the race. The suspension was lifted on the assurance of Major Beard that he would be responsible for the conduct of the young rider for the yest of the season.
