FILTER hurried into a contending position in the initial eighth, wore down SWEET CHARIOT when straightened into the stretch and, stoutly ridden thereafter, withstood FAIR IMAGE. The latter, in the thick of the contention while racing on the inside, swung to the outside for the final drive and closed courageously. BOBBING, stoutly handled the entire journey, finished with good courage while in close quarters between the leaders. SWEET CHARIOT displayed good speed from a fast beginning, but weakened slightly in the closing eighth. MIDSHIPMAN was unable to improve his position. TEABERRY went evenly. PRIVA could never improve his position. BE HAPPY had no excuses. SIR KENDAL could not untrack himself in the footing. CHOSEN PAL, reserved off the early pace, gained fast when put to a drive, wore down BILLNORA, but had to be kept under pressure to withstand SKIRT, then pulled up lame. The latter improved her position on the outside and finished stoutly. BILLNORA sprinted into an easy lead, saved ground where possible, but weakened fast during the stretch run. FAYLIN, well placed, tired fast in the last three-eighths. LUCKY RACKET was outrun. FIFE tired. SANS COIN, a close factor and kept under strong pressure, outfinished JUDGE PRIMROSE during the final eighth. JUDGE PRIMROSE made a determined effort when entering the stretch and finished with good energy. CAMP BOSS weakened fast after a half mile. FULL DRESS could not threaten the leaders. The others were outrun. WORTHINGTON, stoutly ridden from the start, slipped through on the inside of ZONE when leaving the back stretch, resisted keen contention from KINGBIRD and outstayed the latter in a hard drive. KINGBIRD, a strong factor and saving ground, gained a brief lead and fought it out stubbornly. OUR PAL, slow to get going, worked his way up steadily and was wearing the first two down gradually. ZONE took a wide course and was used up early. TINGE was badly blocked going to the first turn, recovered, but was done early. The others were outrun.
