RUSSELL, lucky at the start and away in motion, gave way to TOMBEREAU near the turn, was forced wide by the latter entering the stretch and, holding on well under mild pressure, was up to win in the final strides. TOMBEREAU showed good speed in the going, bore out on the stretch turn and tired after drawing clear in the stretch. DR. PARRISH had no mishaps. RUNNING WATER could not get up. ABE FURST raced wide. TADCASTER lacked his usual speed and did not threaten. KAPOSIA, away slowly and far back fp r half a mile, closed with a rush. EASE IN showed speed, " but was in close quarters on the far turn and tired after five-eighths.
