WAR HERO PULLS UP LAME LAUREL, Md., Oct. 17. It was reported that War Hero, from the Glen Riddle Farms Stable, pulled up lame following his morning workout this morning and was excused from fulfilling his engagement in the Fairlee Purse. Examination of War Hero, following his lameness after a mild opener this morning, disclosed that the son of Man o War is on the verge of bowing a tendon.
