t SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES I Jockey T. P. Martin was allowed to cancel his engagement on Tail Wind in the seventh race in order to allow him to catch a train for Maryland, where he will go to ride for the Shandon Farm. Waldo P. Johnson, his contract employer, will accompany Martin on the trip. Sidney Bender, veteran official of the Havana-American Jockey Club, distributed the condition books for the first seven days. Mr. Bender is also taking applications for stable room at Oriental Park. Jockeys Dent Smith, Leo Jones, Earl Un-kraut and apprentices George Phillipson, H. Bracken, W. Privett and H. Chinn are arrivals from Fairmount Park. The following trainers were granted licenses: H. C. Rumage, C. F. Davis, A. J. Pershall, J. Bronnenberg, Frank James, E. R, Lacey, G. K. Craig and Thomas Westropq.
