GLIDING LIGHT, forced out by WHITE MAN in the stretch, finished gamely. PEEDEEQUE raced evenly. SUN CLOTHING stumbled and almost fell right after the start. GARLIC, closer up than usual and, coming through next to the rail, reached the leaders in the stretch and, wearing them down, slowly drew clear. EGAD was taken very wide going to the first turn and held on gamely. BUSTED, steadied along earlv, moved up resolutelv. but tired. MUSKODAY was used up racing REDCLIFFE into defeat. CHENANGO, rated along for a mile and fencing boldly, moved to the pacemaker at the twelfth fence and, taking the lead shortly after, drew away gradually. ERIC THE RED followed FORAGE CAP, then displaced the latter and held on well. DANIEL SOOT jumped well and closed gamely. FORAGE CAP showed good form. ZERMATT had no mishaps. LADINO. pinched back midway of the back stretch, went to the outside of the leaders, but could not get up. ETERNAL saved much eround. AIR PILOT could not get up. ON TAP showed speed for a quarter. STAR PORTER was kept close to the rail in the stretch. OLD BALDY, sent into an easy lead, drew clear, but tired suddenly in the last eighth. BOBBING finished resolutely, as did POMPOSO.
