20,000 OFFERED IN PRIZES Omaha Track Decides to Add Another 0,000 to Offerings 00 and 00 Purses. OMAHA, Neb., April 17. An additional 0,000 in purse money was announced today for the thirty-one day running race meeting of the Ak-Sar-Ben Exposition Company here May 30 to July 4. W. H. Schellberg, chairman of the Ak-Sar-Ben racing committee, anounced the increase after the committee had conferred with E. W. Bury, the new racing secretary, who arrived here Monday from Hot Springs, Ark. "We now can offer total purse money of 20,000," Schellberg said. "This will rank high among the nations racing plants, and it is the desire of Ak-Sar-Ben to give horsemen the best financial inducement possible to race here. The average daily purses will be about ,000, with most individual purses at 00 and 00. Secretary Bury has received reservations from many owners and will leave early next week for a campaign through the southwest, talking up the Omaha meeting. On his return he will attend the Aurora meeting, endeavoring to get stable divisions for the Ak-Sar-Ben meeting.
