SONG, away in the first flight and nicely handled, raced reserved while following PARADUN, took command without effort entering the home stretch, then drew out easily at the end. PARADUN, hurried into a slight lead in the early racing, saved ground, but could not stay with the winner when pressed; BEST BUTTER raced in the first flight under strong urging, but tired fast approaching the finish. FLIGHT OF GOLD, in tight quarters until reaching the home stretch, finished strongly when clear. FURLED FLAG lost ground the entire trip. LONMEG broke slowly and was far back throughout. JUBILARGO could not menace in the late stages. SUPER ULTRA broke slowly and was outrun. GLYNDON BELLE quit badly after reaching the home stretch after moving into a forward position. DELIBERATE showed good speed while setting the pace and continued gamely when strongly ridden in the final drive. SEABISCUIT, in tight quarters in the first three-eighths, found racing room and closed resolutely. PARVA STELLA was fonvardly placed and held on well when the real test came. BLACK BESS was under strong handling for the entire trip. TEDDY HASLAM made up ground. COULEEDAM was steered wide throughout. SIGHTING BAR broke slowly. SQUAWKER broke well, but lacked speed. ROUGH PARTY, prominent in the early racing, came through on the inside of BALLY BAY when reaching the home stretch, held on determinedly after gaining command and withstood ACCOLADE. The latter, a keen factor in the early stages, responded stoutly while coming to the outside of the pacemaker and fought it out gamely. BALLY BAY was rushed hard to take command, had good speed until reaching the home stretch then tired steadily when challenged. MANTADOS was unable to make up ground when put to strong urging MEROVECH bettered his position slowly. IMMUNE lacked early speed and was never a factor. PARADE ON suffered interference soon after the start. MANUAL was done after a half mile. LAST SIGNAL had early speed. Scratched 09013 Alwintour, 105. BOSTON BROOK took command when reaching the back stretch, was steadied in front and held on gamely when placed to a hard drive. BROWN TWIG, forced wide at the first turn could not threaten the leaders after gaining his best stride. JAMBALAYA, sluggish in the first three-quarters, closed strongly in the late stages. ABSTAIN had much taken out of him to enter contention and he tired. MISS SNOW faltered badly after making the effort leaving the back stretch. KALOLA was used up setting the pace. COUNT DEAN tired-as did PRECIOUS KING.
