OPPOSE WORKS WAGE SCALE Union leaders in this city and at Springfield voiced their emphatic opposition to President Roosevelts proposed wage scale for the 000.000 00.0 works relief program. The Chicago Building Trades Council, through its president, announced that they would oppose pay below the prevailing union scale. Other union chiefs announced that the men certainly would not "go along" with any wage reduction.
