1 RIVERSIDE PARK NOTES 0 R. A. MacArthur, former manager of Tan-foran, was a visitor here during the week and left for Chicago Thursday. Horace Wade, well known publicity man and a prominent figure in Texas racing cirr cles, stopped off here Thursday on his way to Chicago. Apprentice rider J. Kinnard, under contract to W. D. Mikel, arrived from San Antonio. Paul Castle Is handling Kinnards engagements. D. Gray, apprentice jockey under contract to C. Howell, made an auspicious start in his riding debut before Kansas City fans when he piloted three winners and one second out of five mounts Wednesday. All stables at Riverside Park have been filled and arrangements, are being made to secure several barns that are on the property adjoining the track. The halter brigade is showing great activity and horses are changing hands rapidly in a series of claims that have seen Cullo-" den and Euryalus change hands in as many starts, Saturday E. E. Major claimed Cullo- den from R. McCoy and in the horses next start McCoy retrieved the animal via the same route. Euryalus, winner of his only two starts here, has been claimed both times, which were on consecutive days. Tuesday the horse started under the colors of R. McCoy and was claimed by E. E. Major. Wednesday there were five claims for the animal and in the draw he went to S. Tichner. Forest Avenue was claimed from E. E. Major by A. C. Kort for ,200. Forty-one full-fledged jockeys and apprentices have been granted licenses. The older riders are: E. Anderson, R. Ayraud, O, Baltimore, W. Brown, F. Brown, M. Barton, D. Burney, R. Bergh, A.
