i j ANNOUNCE STAKE DATES FOR ROCKINGHAM PARK : l SALEM, N. H, April 10 Lou Smith, managing director of Rockingham Park, announced today the stake program for the first meeting of the New Hampshire Jockey Club at the local track, May 25 to June 13. Seven features are listed, all of which were run last year. The values range from ,500 to 0,000, and the distances from five furlongs to one mile and a furlong. All the stakes close May 16. The outstanding event is the Buckingham Park Handicap. This 0,000 prize for three-year-olds and over, at one mile and a furlong, will be renewed on closing day, June 13. In this fixture last year Discovery, under 128 pounds, finished third to Identify and Dark Hope. Previous winners of the stake were Mad Frump in 1933 and Roustabout in 1934. Following are the Rockingham Park stake dates: May 25 Speed Handicap, ,500 added, three-year-olds and over, five and a half furlongs. May 27 New Hampshire Handicap, ,000 added, three-year-olds, one mile. May 30 Decoration Day Handicap, ,500 added, three-year-olds and over, one mile and a sixteenth. June 3 New England States Handicap, ,500 added, three-year-olds and over, six furlongs. June 6 Granite State Handicap, ,500 added, three-year-olds and over, one mile and a sixteenth. June 10 Juvenile Handicap, ,500, two-year-olds, five furlongs.
