HUNTING HOME, forced to be steadied rounding the turn when forced wide, Tallied smartly when shaken up entering the stretch, then closed fast and drew out after displacing the leaders inside the final Vighth. SUDANESE raced in the thick of contention and Finished with good courage. YOMER, slow to .settle into his stride, came through on the inside to take a slight lead in the final eighth, but had too much jtaken out of her and tired in the final sixteenth. GRIM REAPER was stoutly ridden all the way and had Jjo excuses. DO IT showed good early speed, but tired as if in need of more racing. NATIONAL lacked peed. JOLLY JACK raced evenly and lost ground. WHITE HOT, slow to settle into his stride, worked his way forward on the outside in the last five-sixteenths and finished gamely under punishment. FYAN, unable to draw clear after getting to the front, saved ground, but tired gradually after being caught. BAREBACK was unable to threaten seriously at any stages. DIPLOMACY was outrun. JINX took command immediately, raced under slight restraint while reaching the stretch, responded to pressure and held on gamely to stall off GOLDSPRAY. The latter, beginning slowly, worked her way forward stoutly in the last half mile, saved ground and finished wearing the winner down steadily. TRAUWINA was hard ridden all the way while going forwardly and was easily best of the others. CATOMAR, away well and prominent in the first five-eighths, tired when reaching the stretch. STORY TIME could not menace seriously. SWIFT FLASH showed a flash of speed rounding the turn. RISE AND SHINE was never a factor. MELICENT was outrun. GRAND ANNA was done early. DASHING DOE displaced TRUE TUNE soon after leaving the back stretch, saved ground and, hustled hard when reaching the stretch, drew clear approaching the finish. TRUE TUNE remained close to the winner for five-eighths after losing command, then tired gradually after bearing out in the final issue. HARRYS DREAM, slow to settle into his stride, secured racing room on the inside and closed a good gap. EARLY BROOM could not better her position at any stage. SAIDONA raced evenly. OFOCA was outrun. SUNNED, a stout factor in the early racing, wore down TURKEY RUN when reaching the stretch, withstood a stiff drive willingly and held WAR EMBLEM safe. The latter, away well and racing forwardly, was forced back when caught in dose quarters in the back stretch, bettered his position readily when clear and finished stoutly. BILLY BEE, always in a contending position, moved up with determination through the stretch, but hung in the final drive under his weight. SIR QUEST met with repeated interference in the early racing and finished stoutly when clear. BLACK HIGHBROW was never a serious contender. TRINA stole through on the inside entering the back stretch, reached the leaders at the turn out of the back stretch, but her saddle slipped and her rider could not do his mount justice in the final drive. SCATTER BRAIN, slow to settle into his best stride, moved into closer contention on the far turn, responded well through the stretch when circling the leaders and drew out easily. XANDRA, rated close to the early pace, moved up stoutly on the far turn, gave way to the winner, but held on well. CHANCE KING followed the early pace closely, assumed a short lead when leaving the back stretch, but was no match for the first two. HOLLYHOCK, well placed throughout, tired at the end. DUTCH UNCLE passed tired horses. HIT AND RUN and PEPPER PATCH were never contenders. SIR WINDSOR quit. Corrected weight Scatter Brain, 114.
