COLOR BEARER, well handled and a strong factor from the start, responded well after being straightened in the stretch, wore down HAIR TRIGGER in the final forty yards and won drawing away. The latter improved his position rapidly after five-sixteenths, raced into command on the inside entering the stretch, established a big advantage, but tired near the end. ABLE ABE rushed into a good lead, swung wide at the stretch iurn and tired thereafter. MODESTO worked her way forward on the outside and finished strongly. PHOTOGRAPHY had no mishaps. BEAU BON, outrun for a half mile, moved up fast thereafter and held on well. ROCKRIM worked his way forward steadily, but tired near the end. IMPERIAL BETSY, unable to improve her early position, was forced to race on the outside of her field when improving her position and hung near the end. HIGH MAN closed with a rush. ANY CHANCE hustled to the front, drew clear after five-sixteenths, gave way when challenged, came again in the stretch, but tired in the final eighth. OPEN HEARTH closed fast on the outside.
