Morse came back from his victory in the Ben AH Handicap at Keeneland to score an easy triumph in the historic Clark Handicap which proved a fitting feature for the most auspicious opening Churchill Downs has en ¬ joyed in many years Carrying the popular devilred and blue silks of Warren Wrights Calumet Farm Stable the fouryearold son of Reigh Count and Nellie Morse led most of the way over the mile and onesix ¬ teenth distance defeating Sir Jim James owned by Edward W Duffy by two and a half lengths with the Millsdale Stables Giant Killer another length back in third place placeA A crowd considerably larger than turned out for the inaugural last year was present for the opening of the meeting which will be featured next Saturday by the annual renewal of the Kentucky Derby The wager ¬
