PUT DADE PARK IN CONDITION Increase Force of Men Working on onTrack Track and Buildings Rebuild RebuildSeveral Several Barns OWENSBORO Ky May 18 With the granting of dates by the Kentucky State Racing Commission to the Dade Park Jockey Club for a twentysix day race meet ¬ ing at Dade Park from Saturday August 7 to Labor Day Monday September 6 the men engaged in putting the racing plant between Henderson and Evansville in condition has been increased increasedWithin Within the next thirty days all traces of the most disastrous flood in the history of the Ohio Valley will have been obliterated at the track according to James C Ellis owner of the plant and president of the Dade Park Jockey Club It has been neces ¬ sary to rebuild several of the large barns that were destroyed by the flood waters watersThere There was no damage to the track ac ¬ cording to Lester Yeager associate manager who is directing the repair work at Dade Park More than seventyfive thoroughbreds are expected at the track wfthin the next week or two They will go in training for the coming summer meeting Mr Yeager said a number of improvements are planned at Dade Park this year The thirteenth annual meeting at Dade Park last year was one of the most successful in the history of the track according to Mr Yeager and every effort will be made this year to sur ¬ pass that achievement
