ILLINOIS DERBY WORKOUTS Dellor Heelfly and Grey Count Sent SentThrough Through Their Paces at atChurchill Churchill Downs LOUISVILLE Ky May 18 Three of the leading candidates for the renewal of the 12000 added Illinois Derby closing day feature to be run at the Aurora track on Saturday received their final workouts at Churchill Downs this morning and are to be shipped to the Fox Valley track on Wednesday night nightThe The Three Ds Stock Farms Heelfly J W Parrishs Dellor and E E Fogelsons Grey Count Louisiana Derby winner will be shipped together with three Pelleteri racers and one each from the Waggoner and Par rish barns It is probable that a fourth Derby candidate I J Collins Bernard F may accompany them themIt It was the Kentucky colt Dellor which attracted the most attention as he worked a handy mile in 141 Dellor was at the quarter in 25 the half in 50 threequarters in 115 and was not extended at any stage Basil James has been engaged by trainer John Goode to handle the Parrish colt coltHeelfly Heelfly speedy Texas colt which pressed War Admiral in the early stages of the Kentucky Derby went the full mile and a furlong the Illinois Derby route in 156 being restrained all the way Heelflys time was 26 52 118 144 and 156 handily handilyGrey Grey Count still trained by Tony Pel ¬ leteri for the Dallas sportsman E E Fogel son was sent through the stiffest trial a driving mile and a quarter in 209 Grey Counts fractions were 49 115 142 155 and 209 There had been some doubt as to his starting but the work dispelled this thisThe The Shandon Farm pair of Quincy and Burning Star arrived at Washington Park today and will be vanned to Aurora from that point for their Aurora engagement Be ¬ fore leaving Churchill Downs trainer John J Greely sent Quincy through a most im ¬ pressive trial of a mile and a furlong in 152 handily Burning Star was content with 159 for the same distance
