LATONIA DERBY CANDIDATE Sunset Trail n Will Carry Eaoul Walshs Colors in Covington Fea ¬ ture Case Ace Works HOMEWOOD 111 May 3 Announce ¬ ment that Raoul Walshs Sunset Trail II will fill his engagement in the 15000 added Latonia Derby at Latonia June 12 adds an ¬ other important candidate to the number of starters for that race shipping to the Ken ¬ tucky track from Washington Park ParkGeorge George Walsh trainer of the Irishbred threeyearold said today that the colt had continued to train well since the Kentucky and Illinois Derbys and barring mishap would have him at Latonia for his next im ¬ portant engagement Walsh may start the son of Silverstead in an overnight race at the local course before transferring him to the Covington course courseWalsh Walsh also revealed that his threeyear old Bachelors Bower another Irishbred which his brother the cinema director re ¬ cently imported has been nominated for the 30000 added Arlington Classic and that the colt would make his American debut either at Washington Park late in the cur ¬ rent meeting or at Arlington Park during the fore part of the summer session there Should he show to advantage he might be sent to the post for the Classic Walsh said saidUNDERGOING UNDERGOING PREPARATION PREPARATIONBesides Besides Sunset Trail II horses propping here for the Latonia Derby include Mrs Ethel V Mars Case Ace winner of the Illinois Derby and Reaping Reward which finished third to War Admiral and Pom poon in the Kentucky Derby Mrs William H Fursts Over the Top and Gerald Ed ¬ ward F Woodwards greatly improved Eagle Pass P A and R J Nashs Burning Star E E Fogelsons Louisiana Derby win ¬ ner Grey Countj and possibly No Sir owned by Miss Mary Hirsch HirschContinuing Continuing his preparation for the La ¬ tonia Derby Case Ace this morning worked a mile over a fast track in 143 He was in hand throughout and came out of the trial in fine condition according to Robert McGaryey trainer of the Mars stable stableAll All of these hqrsesare to be returned to Washington1 Park after the running of the 15000 race at Latonia and will have their next importaht Engagements in the Ameri cair Derby here on June 19 x
