RAIN AT RIVERSIDE PARK Thrilling Finish in First Race With WithIrvin Irvin H Winner Over Eees Gift Ladies Guests of Management KANSAS CITY Mo June 4 Fridays racing at Riverside Park was conducted over a slow track with inclement weather pre ¬ vailing As the horses paraded to the post for the initial race rain started to fall slow ¬ ing up the track considerably It was the first Ladies Day of the meeting and despite the weather conditions a goodly number of the fair sex were in the stands Eight well filled and balanced races made up the card and outsiders dominated the running of the first race raceA A thrilling finish resulted in the running of the first race when Mrs J A Black wells Irvin H and J Levitts Lees Gift crossed the finish line so closely aligned that it required the official placing before the result could be determined Two lengths back of the first two came W Thompsons Kerrylite From a good start the favored My Valley was the first to show in front followed by Irvin H and Sir Almadel Ap ¬ proaching the lower turn My Valley bolted to the outside and Sir Almadel took com ¬ mand closely followed by Irvin H
