The latter forced a fast early pace, disposed of HARD CHASE and drew away rounding the stretch turn, but hung in the final drive. LERNANA was kept close up from the start, made her move entering the stretch, but hung at the end. RESURRECTION showed a good effort throughout. DEEPWICK saved ground all the way. HELEN BAB was on the outside rounding the far turn. HARD CHASE had early speed. ROY BOY began slowly. WORTHFUL dwelt at the start. ROCK COVENTRY had no mishaps. NIMULE and MADDENING were outrun. The latter, in close quarters on the inside in the early running, was taken to the outside in the stretch and Finished with a rush. BOB C. was kept well up all the way and saved ground entering the stretch, but hung near the end. JACQUELINE M., well up in the earlv running, faltered at the finish. -ROOM SERVICE had no mishaps. STAR PORTER was taken under restraint when outrun, came through on the inside in the stretch, but could not menace the leaders. APPREHEND, outrun early, moved up fast on the outside rounding the far turn, lost ground entering the stretch and faltered. WILD COUNT could not keep up.
