RIPPING, outrun early, came fast after finding racing room in the stretch and, wearing down BRIGHT EAGLE, took the lead near the finish. BRIGHT EAGLE showed good early speed and, under energetic riding held on well. HASSAN dropped back when" his rider almost fell off soon after the start, then came stronejy and, racing well to the finish, might have won with better luck. SKY BABY "lacked her usual early speed and, although taking a good lead after going a quarter, was used up and had little left. RED CHALK was slow to begin, but made up some ground. USICKLE sprinted to the front early and, showing good speed, drew out in the stretch to win easily. MY DEBUT raced through an opening soon after the start to reach second place and moved up on the outside of the winner to challenge rounding the stretch turn, but met with interference when USICKLE bore out, and dropped back, holding second place safe. SERA closed some ground and was going gamely at the finish. ODDESA LASS raced fairly well. JUDGE PAN and ORDERLY could not keep up. MISS CHASE left the stalls bucking, and bolted to the inside fence, unseating her rider. TELEPATHY, never far from the pace, came fast to save ground on the stretch turn and, getting to the front after straightening for home, won easily. IDLE LAD was forced to work his way up gradually after having been caught in close quarters early, but found racing room on the inside in the stretch to finish well. FIGHT ON was in close quarters in the early running, but remained close to the pace and raced well. BORDER RUFFIAN raced in four light bandages and showed good early speed. ALLEGREZZA and MUCH TROUBLE quit in the stretch. VIRGINIA MISS was fractious at the post and, off slowly, was never dangerous. RACK UP had early speed. RAG HILL was through after going a half mile. NEDROB lacked early speed, but came fast on the inside after going half the distance, raced to the front near the finish and won under urging. WOODSAW was close to the pace from the start and raced strongly to the finish. RAINBEARER came fast on the outside after entering the stretch and, though inclined to bear in, finished well, but seemed a trifle sore after pulling up. FOAM had speed, but was reserved too much and might have fared better with a stronger rider. ARIGOTAL quit. Overweight Nedrob, 1 pound; Godspeed, 4; Mam Lindy, 1.
