ENGLAND FACES WAR WITHOUT FRIENDS SAYS GEORGE LONDON England Oct 26 Great Brit ¬ ain still must face war and war without friends as a result of pandering to dic ¬ tators David Lloyd George asserted today in an extraordinarily strong attack on the policies of Prime Minister Chamberlain This country the whitehaired wartime premier said has descended the ladder of dishonor rung by rung as a consequence of the course London has pursued in rela ¬ tion to Abyssinia China and Czechoslovakia Can we go any lower Lloyd George asked Peace at the expense of Czechoslovakia was bad and transitory We shall find that we have forfeited our honor lost the respect of the world and lost our own self respect and in the end there will be no peace There will be war and war without friends Speaking at a luncheon of the London Free Church Federation Lloyd George branded Chancellor Hitler of Germany a ruthless dictator and condemned Chamberlain for pandering to dictators dictatorsWeak Weak nations said the famous states ¬ man are flocking to Berchtesgaden the mountain chalet where Hitler is now playing the role of arbiter of Central Europe plead ¬ ing for mercy They have lost confidence in Britain and France
