PLANS NEW JEWISH COLONIES WASHINGTON D C Nov 4 Plans for establishing new Jewish colonies in South America are being formulated by leading Hebrew philanthropists and financial leaders in the United States Banding under an organization named the Refugee Economic Corporation of New York City the Jewish leaders are seeking to raise 5000000 through the sale of stock The proceeds are to be utilized for establishing new Jewish settlements in the western hemisphere Fil ¬ ing a registration statement with the secre ¬ tary the corporation announced its purpose to be the economic reconstruction of refugees from Germany and other political storm centers The corporation already has acquired a tract of land in one of the Central American countries It also will seek to establish a Jewish colony in Argentina
