TROPICAL HANDLES 10,569 MIAMI, Fla., Dec. 26. The Gables Racing Association enjoyed the best day of the young meeting at the Gables plant Saturday when the mutuels clicked to the tune of 10,569. Against the same day last season, which happened to be Christmas Day, the amount was a decrease, the handle a year ago being 39,250, a drop of a little less than 9,000. The amount for the first week averaged 78,907 daily,-while at the same time last year the average was 84,580.
