LAST HOP, quick to take command, was taken in hand when outrun rounding the turn and held on well under pressure in the drive. DOLLY E., vigorously handled from the beginning had no excuses. POMPL1T, away fast, could not keep up and did not appear to be able to handle the going. SPORT HEEL tired after a half mile. MOUNTKALA was outrun. BLIND STAR, in hand for three-eighths, was put to pressure thereafter and held on well to the final eighth, then tired. MARIO raced evenly. TIGHTMOUTH was through early. The latter worked his way up on the outside, came to the inside in the last quarter, but tired after reaching the winner in the last three-sixteenths. TIME SIGNAL was on the inside all the way and well up, but never threatened. REAL PLAY forced the pace for a half mile, then tired rapidly. LITTLE NYMPH lacked early speed. INVERMARK began slowly, worked his way up through the field gradually and closed strongly under urging. MICHIGAN FLYER saved ground while improving his position, then tired in the last eighth under pressure. CASH O BOY was in close quarters going to the first turn, was taken up and around to the outside and showed a good effort. CATOMAR was unable to keep up and was never a factor. SWEET ADELINE was always far back. WAXWING had speed for a half mile, then dropped back steadily. WARLAINE appeared to dislike the footing and dropped out of it after going three-eighths.
