PRESIDENT ESCAPES HEAT WASHINGTON D C July 8 President Roosevelt escaped the capitols newest wave of midsummer heat and humidity by cruis ¬ ing on the Chesapeake Bay in the White House yacht Potomac over the weekend Accompanied by Jesse Jones administrator of the new federal lending agency and Mrs Jones and Presidential secretary Stephen T Early and Mrs Early the President motored to Annapolis this morning to board the Po ¬ tomac After cruising down the bay the Po ¬ tomac will return directly to the Washington Navy Yard tomorrow arriving in the eve ¬ ning
