BADAME COLORS DOMINATE Trey Proves Best in Main Offering Offeringat at Fort Erie Kings Crest Is IsSecond Second and Hittie Third i FORT ERIE Ont July 10 Trey eight i yearold Sir Barton and Resting Time geld ¬ ing racing for Mrs J Badame accounted for the best offering of the seventh day of the Fort Erie meeting Racing the six fur ¬ longs in 112 the old gold and red color bearer drove to the end threequarters of a length in advance of C G McCullaghs im proved homebred Kings Crest P Mecklen j burgs Hittie was in third place a length I off and two and onehalf lengths before J I LaBelles Septime Trey was well ridden by S YoungA Young A good crowd was on hand for the sport Cool weather prevailed while the track had rounded to a fast and hard condition conditionThere There was little delay at the start and andthey they were off in good order Trey broke in inthe the lead but quickly gave way to the Cos CosI I grave Stables Historic Era As the half halfl l mile ground was reached Historic Era held heldthe the lead while Trey raced a half length back backon on the outside and a half length in advance advanceof of Kings Crest CrestAs As they made the turn Young sent Trey up on the outside of the leading Historic I Era and the pair battled for the lead with Historic Era giving up leaving the final quarter mark Trey then went to the lead and Young brought him to the center of the track and he closed gamely under mild pressure to hold off Kings Crest at the end j The latter had saved ground entering the stretch and closed gamely next the inner rail for second place placeHittie Hittie worked her way up on the outside and moved to the leader threateningly en ¬ tering the final furlong but was unable to hold on and dropped back to third place
