STARS OF JUVENILE DIVISION DIVISIONCandidates Candidates for Lassie Stakes and andArlington Arlington Futurity Entered in inTodays Todays Berwyn Purse ARLINGTON HEIGHTS 111 July 10 Stars of the juvenile division pointing for the richlyendowed Lassie Stakes and Ar ¬ lington Futurity will hold the center of the Arlington Park racing stage Tuesday Three Futurity and two Lassie Stakes hopes are included in the field of ten twoyearolds entered in the Berwyn Purse the five and a half furlongs feature while four other Futurity candidates are in the field of thir ¬ teen entered in the five and a half furlongs second race raceEmerson Emerson F Woodward owner of the Val ¬ dina Farms of Texas with twelve named is the most liberal nominator to the Lassie Stakes having entered two of them Valdina Quest and Valdina Minx in the Berwyn NAME FUTURITY ELIGIBLES ELIGIBLESQuenemo Quenemo and Tonganoxie two Futurity hopes from the Woolford Farm stable also are in the Berwyn while W F Morgan has named J Do Believe and Master Key for tomorrows race The last named entry was not nominated either for the Lassie next Saturday or the Futurity on July 29 The first two weeks of the Arlington Park meeting have rolled by with an increase in attendance and play over the same period last year and the best racing of the meeting is ahead aheadNext Next Saturday will be run the Lassie Stakes likely to become this year the richest race for twoyearold fillies in America On the following Saturday July 22 some of the best threeyearolds in the country will meet in the mile and a quarter Classic Stakes which will offer a gross prize of about 55 000 and the most valuable gold trophy in America a solid 14carat replica of the his ¬ toric Coronation Cup won in England in 1929 by Mrs John Hertz Reigh Count
