BRADLEY SILKS IN FRONT AT SUFFOLK DOWNS TRACK TRACKBold Bold and Bad Whips The Finest in Featured Natick Handicap HandicapBOSTON BOSTON Mass June 27 Edward Riley Bradleys green and white colors were car ¬ ried to their first vie iy of the season at Suffolk Downs today when Bold and Bad came home ahead of a good field in the Natick Handicap at one mile and a six ¬ teenth which featured the eightrace card Carrying 115 pounds the son of Blue Lark ¬ spur finished a halflength in front of Sam ¬ uel D Riddles The Finest who had two and threequarters lengths over Le Mar Stock Farms Multitude Mrs Weston VV Adams recent claim Advocator and Mrs j Sam Orrs Star Boarder completed the field i iBold Bold and Bad favorite in the wagering paid 580 to win and th helped make up for his recent disappointing race in the Puritan Handicap in which he finished fifth to the victorious Rough Pass owned by J Y Christmas Time was 144 Freddie Smith who rod the winner was completing j a double as that rider had just won with Meadow Dew in the fifth race Tommy Luther on The Finest had that Teddy fouryearold in the lead quickly and going around the clubhouse turn the rider had a length over Star Boarder who was a nose in front of Bold and Bad Advocator and Multitude who had started slowly as usual brought up the ear earSETS SETS LIVELY PACE PACEGoing Going down the back stretch The Finest continued to set a lively pace although run 1 ning easily He enjoyed a twolength ad ¬ vantage over Bold and Bad who had moved into second place one length in front of Advocator The three lead positions re ¬ mained this way around the far turn and into the home stretch with Multitude mov ¬ ing up slightly to be in fourth place ahead of the tiring Star Boarder BoarderAt At the sixteenth pole it appeared that The Finest would wir in a drive but in the Jast seventy yards Bold and Bad closed rapidly to pass his tired opponent and drew out into a halflength lead passing the finish line The Finest took second with two and threequarter lengths to spare over Multi ¬ tude who closed gamely in the last eighth to take third thirdA A large weekday crowd was on hand for the sport which was staged under clear skies and a warm sun A strong wind came from the southwest providing some relief from Old Sol as the fans tried to locate
