THOMAS J HEALEY PAYS TRIBUTE TO EQUIPOISE EQUIPOISESTANTON STANTON Del June 27 When the Greentree Stables Shut Out a twoyearold son of Equipoise Goose Egg established a new Delaware Park track record for five and a half furlongs of 105 in winning his first start under colors it reminded Thomas J Healey who used to train Equipoise and is now racing a modest string of racers at Delaware Park that Shut Out belonged to the last crop of the C V Whitney handicap star who died just when his reputation as a sire was to become as great as his reputa ¬ tion as a racer Swing and Sway winner of the Diamond Stakes on the same Governors Day program also is a son of Equipoise EquipoiseEquipoise Equipoise was the most honest faithful horse I ever trained said Mr Healey who has spent a lifetime on the American turf He would run his best no matter what was ailing him There never has been a gamer I gamerI thoroughbred than Equipoise
