INTEREST m GOLDEN GATE GATESAN SAN FRANCISCO Calit June 27 Spirited bidding from interests repre ¬ senting northern and southern California groups is expected when the Golden Gate Turf Club is put on the auction block July 11 John A McNaughton former member of the state racing commission heads one southern California group in ¬ terested in buying the track which has been declared bankrupt by referee T J Ledwich Another southern group is headed by Henry Potter Kussell while Mervyn Leroy film producer is said to head a third Meanwhile it is believed that interests associated with the local Bay 31 endows track will make a strong effort to acquire the Albany property This is regarded as especially likely as the lease to property including the Bay 3Ieadows stable area expires tliis year
