Lincolns War Relief Contribution Is 100000 100000STICKNEY STICKNEY III June2 The American Red Cross and the Chicago Service Mens Center will share 100000 as a result of the Decoration Day program of racing which the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club staged at Hawthorne Monday it was announced today by Col M J Winm The net proceeds from that program fell short of 100000 but Colonel Winn said the association is making up the difference and the total will be divided on the basis of two thirds to the Red Cross and the other third to the Service Mens Center CenterThe The Lincoln Fields Jockey Clubs 1943 contribution to War Relief is double the gift it gave last year when 50000 was divided equally between Army and Navy Relief organizations organizationsPresentation Presentation of checks to representatives of the Red Cross and the Service Mens Center will be made by Stuyvesant Peabody president of Lincoln Fields at a luncheon in the Hawthorne club house on Saturday SaturdayChicago Chicago racing so far this year now has contributed 183000 to War Relief 83000 having been raised during the charity week at Sportsmans Park the first track to open in this area Later this total will be augmented by gifts from Arlington Park which is dedicating Independence Day as part of its War Relief budget from Washington Park which is setting aside Labor Day and from the Chicago Business Mens Racing Association which is giving the proceeds from one of its big Saturdays Sportsmans Park is to conduct another meeting at the end of the season and a further contribution may be forthcoming then to help swell the fund
