lead before reaching the final quarter and then continued gamely but was unable to withstand the winner although easily best of the others EQUAL CHANCE on the inside throughout could not threaten the leaders when hard urged in the stretch THREE ROSES shuffled hack after the start was never dangerous thereafter DARBY DISMAY faltered after displaying good speed the first half FERGY FAVORITE began
