Blackstone Handicap Draws Twenty-Seven Nominations PAWTUCKET, R. L, June 4.— The ,500 Blackstone Valley Handicap, six-furlong sprint feature for Narragansetts final program on Saturday, closed last Saturday with 27 nominations. Twenty-three of the 27 named are on the grounds, while the remaining four are stabled at Suffolk Downs. Checking through the list of eligibles this morning and having in mind the nearness of the date of running, which means only fit horses have been nominated, racing secretary Ty Shea is firm in the belief that the final stake will be split and run in two divisions next Saturday.
