Veteran Buddy Wingfield Starter at Hollywood Park ParkHOLLYWOOD HOLLYWOOD PARK Inglewood Calif May 5 G R Buddy Wingfield one of the outstanding starts in thoroughbred rac ing in the country will again set the fields off at Hollywood Park this season General manager J F Mackenzie has announced that Wingfield and his entire staff of vet ¬ eran assistants have been appointed for the 50day race meeting which will open Tues ¬ day May 18 18Wingfield Wingfield who has been directing opera ¬ tions at the starting gate since 1922 and who also starts the fields at Tropical Park Gulf stream and Narragansett will arrive at Hol ¬ lywood Park next week but in the mean ¬ time schooling sessions will be conducted by five of his permanent crew men Jack Hennessey and Eddie Pressy who have been with him for 20 years and Fred White Al ¬ fred Blue and Dino Romoli
