Begin Registration of Horses For C ran wood Park Meeting MeetingCRANWOOD CRANWOOD PARK Warrenville Ohio May 5 The momentous task of register ¬ ing jhorses who will compete during the 19day meeting which opens here May 12 has been started by racing secretary Lewis J Giles and his staff Giles is requesting of horsemen to submit their badge lists as early as possible to facilitate the issuing of badges badgesApproximately Approximately 800 horses are already on the grounds at the Thistle Down and Ran ¬ dall Park stabling areas A capacity of 1000 horses can be accommodated at the two tracks and Giles expects every avail ¬ able stall to be tenanted when the Gran wood session opens The barns at Thistle Down and Randall Park are being used to house the horses who will participate at this meeting because of the inability to obtain materials to construct hew barns at the Cranwood course This should not work any hardship on the horses or horse ¬ men because only onehalf mile separates the three racing plants plantsAccording According to general manager G E Lewis horses entered to race will be vanned at the expense of the Cranwood Racing Association from their stabling place to the halfmile track and returned in the same
