Heres Me Entered Again at Cicero CiceroBishop Bishop Miss Declines Issue In Yesterdays Feature in Favor of Todays Don Leon LeonSPORTSMANS SPORTSMANS PARK Cicero 111 May 13 William H Bishops Heres Me de clined the issue in todays feature attraction here but will undoubtedly renew the chal ¬ lenge in the top event scheduled for pres ¬ entation tomorrow The Roman filly was reentered this morning byxBishop in the fivefurlong Don Leon Purse where she Will be required to meet seven other sprint ¬ ers in an effort to run her consecutive wins to four fourThe The Illinois horseman appears to have been wfse in his decision to run Heres Me tomorrow as the task appears to be slightly less difficult and she will have a longer resting period between contests in her re ¬ cently stiff campaign Although her duties appear less difficult they will not be easy with such speedsters as M H VanBergs Rose Bed P J Valentis Seamans Pal and Orrwood Stables Spring Thaw arranged against her herForced Forced to Her Utmost UtmostIn In capturing her latest victory Heres Me was put to her utmost to catch Sea mans Pal in a sevenfurlong contest This indicates a more spirited effort will be needed to catch the fleet gelding at this shorter distance Seamans Pal held a commanding lead to the final strides in this encounter over a muddy racing strip and the same fleetness would place him as the one to catch catchFavored Favored in her initial effort this spring M H VanBergs Rose Bed displayed little of her speed and quality which recom ¬ mended her last season The result can be broadmindedly ignored as the filly was extremely fractious at the barrier throw ¬ ing her rider and generally raising a rum ¬ pus This action undoubtedly unnerved her as her performance indicated Miss Lydia Webers Siddons is the only entrant not to have displayed speed during his races here although his better per ¬ formances stamp him as one of the fore ¬ most racers in the field The expected dead condition of the racing strip should meet with his favor favorOrrwood Orrwood Stables Spring Thaw and C E Crosby and R R Thpmas Brown Dame have both shown high speed from the gate in their recent outings but both also elimi ¬ nated themselves while racing wide on the first turn Cathie Jean turned in an im ¬ proved effort last time over an off track although she is considered on the cheap side Little Fair has also shown speed but has been especially fainthearted
