Eight Milers Entered In Garden State Event EventEnd End of Strife Anecdote and Rinaldo Will Match Strides StridesGARDEN GARDEN STATE PARK Camden N J May 13 Two 4000 features grace the rather attractive program which racing secretary M C Ty Shea will present Garden State Park patrons tomorrow Sharing the spotlight are the Ardmore Purse a test at one mile for fouryearolds and upward and the sixfurlong Arcadia Purse for threeyearolds threeyearoldsEight Eight entries were made overnight to the Ardmore carded as the fifth event The field comprises Happy C Anecdote Sunhelio Daralet Boston Man Golden Bull Rinaldo and End of Strife StrifeAt At the intermediate distance of one mile Grover C Hunts End of Strife is particu ¬ larly formidable The gelded son of Peace Chance has been a rather consistent per ¬ former during the current meeting with two victories in four starts to his credit and he can run well over any sort of track trackRinaldo Rinaldo promises to be a sharp factor in the Ardmore since he was beaten only a neck by End of Strife after encountering interference in the stretch This four yearold colt owned by Mrs George Shif ¬ ter has an abundanpe of early speed and is well suited at a mile distance distanceAnecdote Anecdote owned by Jaclyn Stable was an impressive winner at six furlongs earlier in the meeting and was only a neck back of Rinaldo in the race mentioned above Anecdote was drawing to the winner in the closing strides after having trailed well off the early pace If able to stay within striking distance of this early pace Anec ¬ dote may prove a sharp factor factorAlthough Although he is a particularly well bred fellow Happy C has never been more than a bettertjhanaverage runner He is primarily a sprinter and has beaten good ones on occasions However the Elmen dorf Farm representative turned in a very dull effort in his last and will have to im ¬ prove Daralet won his last race at one mile and a sixteenth under a 10000 claim ¬ ing tagr He ascends the scale tomorrow Sunhelios most recent effort left much to be desired although it was only his second start of the season The Paul J Carey stalwart figures to improve improveGolden Golden Bulls last race was in the 10000 Valley Forge Handicap and he beat only one horse in that 10horse field which in ¬ cluded such stars as Rampart Rippey Knockdown Turbine and Pellicle Golden Bull engages far less illustrious company tomorrow however and cannot be dis ¬ counted entirely Boston Man making his first start of the meeting was a winner in New England but engaged only medio cre rivals rivalsThe The cofeatured Arcadia Purse promises to provide some interesting competition since its 11 overnight entries appear very well matched The field includes Happy West Regalon Grand Isle Evening Tune Ringneck Coyote Flying Mile Certified Betty OHerron Basis and Brown Fox
