Further Testimony Taken In New York Labor Case CaseNEW NEW YORK N Y May 14 Hearings before the New York State Labor Board at its New York Gity offices in the cases of 186 owners and trainers cited for unfair labor practices in refusing to negotiate with local 814 of the Teamsters Chauf ¬ feurs Warehouse and Helpers Union UnionA A P of L bargaining for New York grooms and exercise riders seeking in ¬ creased wages and other benefits continr ued throughout the day The respondents cpntend they are engaged in interstate commerce in the racing of their stables and not subject tqthe ruling of the state board The morning session was given over to crossexamination of Dan Lyons editorm chief of this newspaper by Murray L Lasker attorney for the board and re ¬ direct examination by Arthur C Pettit representing Mr and Mrs F Ambrose Clark and trainers P T Bellhouse and Jl D Byers Lyons was on the stand for al ¬ most the entire day yesterday testifying to the authenticity of the charts past per ¬ formances and other statistics published by Triangle Publications Inc and also to general racing conditions in New York and in other states Further testimony in the afternoon calculated to prove the inter ¬ state operations of the Clark stable was given by James Riley x bookkeeper and trainer Bellhouse The hearings which are being held be fore trial examiner Robert J Lawler will be continued Monday At the completion of the hearings the testimony will be pre ¬ sented to the labor board v
