Influx of Big Stables To Arlington to Begin BeginCalumets Calumets Young Stock Coming j From Kentucky Other Units Due DueStarting Starting today and for the next two weeks a procession of many of the coun ¬ trys most powerful racing stables will wend their way to Arlington Park for the open ¬ ing of the spacious North Side plant on Monday June 21 Top contenders in all age divisions will assemble for a sixweek campaign there and then will follow five more weeks at Washington Park bringing the coordinated season to a close on Labor Day June 6 6Starting Starting with the Hyde Park Stakes on the openingday program and ending with the Classic renewal on July 31 executive director Benjamin F Lindheimer has ar ¬ ranged three stakes offerings weekly to maintain uninterrupted interest in com ¬ petition for the top grade horses Mean ¬ while racing secretary W R Duke Dahl strom will intersperse the program with numerous overnight events which will serve as tuneups for the major features featuresA A noteworthy shipment this week will be the younger stocfc jf Calumet Farm which will be brought up from Kentucky They are expected to arrive Thursday The main section of this sensational stable includ ¬ ing Citation Coaltown Bewitch and other notable performers will move in from the East following the running of the Belmont Stakes next Saturday SaturdayThough Though the Calumet youngsters are still unproved the debuts of many of these youngsters will be watched with consider ¬ able interest Last season Warren Wrights twoyearolds contributed 493276 of the 1402436 which his stable won for an all time record Among this seasons out ¬ standing prospects are Good Ending a son of Bull Lea out of Whirtyways dam Dust whirl and WhirlaBit a daughter of Whirlaway and Sun Agains dam Hug Again AgainWilliam William Helis horses are expected to be on the grounds before the meeting opens So will those of Brookfield Farm which will send the good threeyearold filly Itsabet into the rich filly and mare events scheduled during the Arlington Park meet ¬ ing Already this season Itsabet has won three stakes in the East Brookfields ju ¬ venile colt Imacomin won the Rancocas Stakes at Garden State StateRex Rex Ellsworth Mrs J Payson Adams and H MvWarner will be among the prom ¬ inent Californians who will be represented throughout the Arlington meeting meetingF F W Hooper Hal Price Headley Mrs Ada L Rice Dixiana John Marsch Bpmar W H Veeneman and J A Goodwin all have horses which are expected to figure prominently in the Arlington Park events eventsIn In addition to those who will have horses on the grounds all through the meeting others such as C V Whitney King Ranch Alfred G Vanderbilt and Edward Lasker are expected to ship horses for individual stakes
