Changes in Starting Gate GateARLINGTON ARLINGTON HEIGHTS HI June 11 General manager John D Jackson of Ar ¬ lington Park today announced that a modified Bahr Starting Gate will be used during the forthcoming meeting The most important change concerns the locking de ¬ vices which open and close the gates In ¬ stead of a single lock on each stall attached to one electrical circuit there will be two locks and two circuits working independ ¬ ently Should one lock fail the other has sufficient power to open the doors thus holding to a minimum the chance of horses being locked in at the starts
