New York Notes BELMONT PARK Elmont L I N Y June 12 12Horsemen Horsemen were advised this morning that nominations for the Saratoga Asso ¬ ciation stakes are to close on June 15 Three of the offerings the Albany Saranac and Merchants and Citizens will be con ¬ tested at Jamaica while the remaining 13 offerings will be run at the upstate track Steeplechase jockey Frank Adams was discharged from Physicians Hospital yes ¬ terday while Mary Immaculate Hospital staff physicians reported that Emmett Roberts condition was improved Trainer Jack Hayes shipped several horses owned by C T Chenery to Mon mouth Park for that meeting meetingRigan Rigan McKinney left for his farm near Middleburg Va to inspect some horses he had there Little Joe Almedida an attache of the Metropolitan Jockey Club at Jamaica for the past 30 years left for Lisbon Portugal The trip is in the nature of a surprise visit to see his mother on her natal day Little Joe as he is known to hundreds of horse ¬ men is making his first trip to his native land in 28 years Knox Osborne checked out for his home near Lexington but plans to return follow ¬ ing the Saratoga meeting and take over several horses for a fall campaign Warner Jones Jr master of Hermitage Farm near Louisville Ky was an arrival to witness the Belmont Stakes Arthur Bull Hancock Jr arrived to ¬ day from Paris Ky He reported that his father is almost fully recovered from his recent illness and only at the last minute decided against coming East Trainer W G Deacon Jones will ship a draft of horses from here to Delaware Park following the United Hunts meeting Laudy Lawrence who with trainer Q P Maje Odom flies to Paris on June 26 plans to return eight horses to this coun ¬ try The horses who may be ready for racing later in the fall will be selected by Odom
