Won driving; second and third the same. LUCKY DOG began fast, raced EMPTY SEA into defeat before entering the.stretch, then lasted to withstand COLD SPY. The latter raced evenly to the stretch, was sent to the inside for the drive, closed gamely, but was unable to overtake the winner. BOGALUSA, never far back, finished willingly under hard urging. EMPTY SEA drifted out when hard ridden through the stretch. ALL IS ON, forced wide through the stretch, could not reach the leaders. WONDER SIR was never dangerous. T0RDAR disliked the muddy going. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. DEERFIELD saved ground while reserved to the stretch, responded to strong handling thereafter and was up in the last sixteenth. SUN UMBER,, outrun to the last three-eighths, finished fast under hard urging, but could not overtake the winner. COLONEL READ, forwardly placed and saving ground from the outset, reached the lead approaching the stretch, then faltered nearing the finish. FLASH FLOOD weakened during the late stages. HADHAMAUT moved up boldly nearing the stretch, then drifted out during the drive. RENO UPSTART bore out badly in the last three-eighths-and lost all chance.
