take a good lead but lacked speed nearing the end FRACAS although never a strong contender went evenly NIGHT PATROL made a couple of bobbles white leading the field and had little left at the end OCEAN FRONT a strong contender early was forced to take up when HIS BQOTS and SPLEEN jell HIS BOOTS and SPLEEN appeared to be tiring when they collided over the last jump both went down FOURTH RACE 1 managed to repel TARAN The latter was never far away and would have been second in a few more strides HARPES saved ground while showing early speed but weakened in the stretch SCHROON was badly outrun
