Secretary of State Blocks Stock Sale of Proposed Track TrackA A temporary restraining order against the sale of memberships or stock in the Ill ¬ inois Jockey Club Inc 188 W Randolph Street was issued Wednesday by Secretary of State Charles F Carpentier The order may be made permanent at a hearing on May 10 Named in the order were Thomas E Bourke secretary of the club William Maurice sales director and Daniel E Boone BooneIllinois Illinois Jockey Club officials have as ¬ serted that they plan to build a race track to be called The Shamrock in Bloom Township near Lansing HI Investigators said Maurice had been quoted as saying that the club has a 25year lease on the 855acre tract of land Maurice said Wednesday that he is merely negotiating for the leases leasesIt It was reported that memberships were selling at 1000 each
