Nine Sprinters Furnish Sport in Fairmount Event EventHarryLou HarryLou Looms Favorite Over Crossbow Girl and Galway Boy BoyBy By C A IJNDEMAN IJNDEMANStaff Staff Correspondent CorrespondentFAIRMOUNT FAIRMOUNT PARK Collinsville HI May 6 With the spring night racing now in full swing here at Fairmount Park the calibre of the class of races is on the up ¬ swing Racing secretary Jack Klucina has arranged a good Friday card of nine races for the second nights program Headlining the program is a six furlongs dash for threeyearolds and older which will be named in honor of Illinois State Bar As ¬ sociation members of which will be guests of the management for the evening of racing Nine fast sprinters have been named to compete in this sprint affair for a 1700 purse purseHarryLou HarryLou from the barn of ASchroeder Ifcoms at this time as the most logical fa ¬ vorite over a band of sprinters of this class HarryLou has not yet won this year but taking his record of past seasons over this racing strip he rates a shade better than others slated to compete in the featured event Trainer F A Roenigke has sent his charge in some impressive workouts this spring and is now ready to turn in a top performance Jockey L Sanabria will handle the reins on the Schroeder eightyearold gelding and is packing 110 pounds poundsMr Mr and Mrs G B Holman will be rep ¬ resented in the main event with the fleet filly Crossbow Girl This daughter of Crossbow TJ and Squadron Girl has won once thus far this year and that at six fur ¬ longs over such sprinters as Count Alex and Intention at the Fair Grounds at New Orleans Her time for the distance was 1 13 and the race was for horses in the 4000 claiming class Latest workouts for the filly over this track since being shipped here from Hot Springs have been very good goodGalway Galway Boy racing in the interest of J S Hanover figures to get part of the 1700 purse offered off his best races this year Galway Boy is another sprinter that has shown preference for the Fairmount racing strip as his races in the past on this track have all been rated tops and his trainer O A Sackett has him as ready as can be for this test E HustwiU be in the saddle saddleRounding Rounding out the field for the main event of the ninerace card are Fair Rita Lan ¬ caster Lady Pride of Judea Shining Light Victory Elf and Feezies Pal
