Record 650 Persons Attend Annual Aqueduct Clambake AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 7. A record 650 persons attended the fourth annual Aqueduct clambake in the tracks paddock area Sunday afternoon. Although the skies were threatening all afternoon, the weather did not put a damper on the crowds appetite, with 40 bushels of clams, 350 chickens, 750 lobsters, and 1,200 ears of corn, among other delectables, consumed. Music was provided by Vincent Lopez and a segment of his famed Hotel Taft orchestra. Hosts at the affair again were Aqueduct president Cyrus S. Jullien and general manager Edward L. Kilroe. Aqueduct begins its 24-day summer meeting June 14. The affair was attended by race track officials, owners, trainers and newspapermen and their guests, who again pronounced the clambake a rousing success.
