HEATHERS VIEW made up ground steadily and was getting to the leaders. KAPEIKA found best stride after coming out some for the drive. SASSY SUSAN tired. SIR THET, in good racing position early, moved up on the inside to gain prominence in the half-mile ground, attained a clear lead at the furlong marker but could not withstand the winners final bid. CLEAR REQUEST, a bit sluggish early, came out some when set down for the drive and showed strong late foot. LOST ANGEL came extremely wide at the head of the lane and closed ground.
