Edgciy ran well, was much the best of he others and had no contention for second place, Redondo tired badly in the closing strides. La Gloria ran one of her bad races, quit arter going a quarter and can beat such horses easily. BriarelifT mid scant chance after the start. Beldemo showed speed, but tired. Moliere, in close quarters on the far turn, came fast when clear and outgamed Cantless in the final drive. The latter came fast on the turn, but tired in the closing rl rides. Won driving; second and third the same. i:-citement was saved from the earlv pace, caught Mortiboy on the turn for home, fought it out gamely with the latter all through the stretch and outstayed him in the final drive. Mortiboy ran a good nice, tired in the last sixteenth, but came again gamely. Cursus came with a belated rush at the end and outgamed Little Lighter for third place. The latter ran well all the way. Bourbon News showed early seed, but quit badly after going a half. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched 00951 Pleiad, 94. Overweights La Thorpe, 2 pounds.
