RICH PRIZES AT TIJUANA All Stake Values Increased, With Cof froth Handicap of 0,000 Added as Headliner. NEW YORK, N. T., September 15. Stake blanks for the Tijuana meeting, which will open Thanksgiving day at the far western Mexican track, were distributed among the horsemen at Belmont Park today by Charles Primrose. The stakes are to close December 2 and they set a new record for winter racing values. The biggest feature of the meeting is the Coffroth Handicap with 0,000 added. This is an increase of 0,000 over last year. The Tijuana Cup, Tijuana Derby and Tijuana Futurity are each stakes of ,000 added and each of these has been increased ,000 over last year. Mr. Primrose announced that the jockey fees would be the same as those paid in New York. He also said that each day there would be two purses of 00, two of and two of 00 with a handicap of ,000 on the off days of racing. Then, on Sundays and holidays, the purses would have a ,500 value with one 0,000 race for a feature, unless there should be a stake down for decision. J. T. Atkin, Harry Morrissey and Charles Primrose are making the shipping arrangements from New York, Havre de Grace, Canada, Bowie and New Orleans. Atkin will leave for Canada Wednesday and from there he will go to Chicago before returning to San Diego.
