Garner. • The first of the spring meetings in Ken- * tucky this year was held at the old Lexington track, and during the ten days of racing the Kentucky Association distributed a total of JGS.275 in stakes and purses. There were seventy-seven races decided, and the daily average distribution amounted to J6.827. It was stated that this was the most successful meeting held at Lexington in years. Of the owners participating in the racing, the Wild Hose Farm Stable was the largest money-winner, with $.,103 to its credit. H. I*; Headley. Applegate and VanDu*en, Fair Acre Farm, and Gallaher and Combs were others that fared well. Hy Schneider. Quicken, Mary Jane and Genial Host were the leading money-winning horses, finishing in the order named. Training honors fell to . VanDusen, with seven winners, while J. T. Taylor was a close second, with six. W. lamer rode the largest number of winners, accounting for eight, a triple tie occurring for second place, W. Crump, G. .lohnson and W.
